A Plan Is Hatched

After Nigel disappeared to his room last night, it goes without saying that both Darrell and I were very concerned, it's not often we see the little fella so upset, but we weren't exactly sure what we could do .......

So, after the tea things had been washed up and put away .......

..... we both sat down and have a  long, very serious, frank and robust discussion about "Tallulah".

It wasn't an easy of conversation by any means, because what we were  considering could possibly change not only our lives but also, for a while at least, Kata our lovely, lovely neighbour across the hall, not to mention "Tallulah", without knowing a single thing about her. But in the end, we decided we should trust Nigel's gut feeling that he'd turned his back on someone who was lost, alone and frightened, as we all had been many years ago and that was unforgivable.

When the talking had come to an end, Darrell went across the hall to speak to Kata, he wasn't gone for long, but from his face I could see that she'd agreed to our plan, and then, exhausted we turned in for the night, however it was a toss and turn sort of sleep that greeted us.

In the morning, we sat Nigel down to explain said plan, we would go to The Vale to see if "Tallulah" was still there, if she was gone, all was good as she'd probably found a new home already, but, if she was still there, we would rescue her and bring her back to The Towers, where she could stay with Kata for as long as she wanted, as Kata was so fond of us, she'd often said she wished we could move in with her!  Let's just say, it was emotional, very, very, very, very emotional!

Needless to say, at this point none of us could face any breakfast, so while I stayed at home, telling Kata that "Operation Tallulah" was well and truly on, Darrell and Nigel went up to The Vale to see if Tallulah was indeed still there ..............

Poor Nigel. I can feel the tension. I wait with bated breath, for the outcome.

Oh my goodness-this must have been serious if none of you had breakfast.

Oh - Tallulah, please still be there - someone is coming to draw you into their bosom and give you a new and loving home. I won't sleep tonight.....JantheFan x

Oh please don’t leave us hanging on like this! The tension is palpable here too, never mind Nigel, bless him! I will be awake all night now hoping and hoping…..
