Nigel Finds Himself In A Terrible Position

Yesterday, Nigel went happily mooching in our most favourite Evesham charity shop of choice, but ended up in an awful rabbit caught in headlights type situation, made all the more spooky, as we've only recently made mention of our old colleague Tallulah (from our Girl High days) a couple of times of late .........

...... but even so, Nigel certainly wasn't expecting to find a "Tallulah" while out and about, especially not in such erm ...... unsalubrious surroundings. He looked at her and she looked at him .......

...... and then, to his shame, simply uttered a very quiet "Hi", accompanied by a half smile and then against all his better judgement walked away, shocked by his outwardly uncaring response, but at the same time at a complete loss as to what to do ..........

When he got home he really wasn't himself, a shadow of the Nigel who had left The Towers that morning, with a spring in his step. He told Darrell and I all about his fleeting encounter, but later just pushed his current favourite tea of cottage pie with peas and carrots and Darrell's prize gravy around his plate, lost in his thoughts, before saying that he was going to his room and that he couldn't get "Tallulah's" haunted eyes out of his mind, he hadn't acted well and knew it and he was ashamed ..........

Poor Nigel, and poor "Tallulah." It must have been very difficult for both of them. I wonder if "Tallulah" will wait around the shop, to see if Nigel or Darrell return any time soon. Or will both steer well clear of it, for the foreseeable future.

Coincidentally, just to the left of "Tallulah," there is a box that says "rompecabezas de siluetas," which is Spanish for a silhouette jigsaw puzzle.

Your cottage pie with peas and carrots and Darrell's prize gravy sounds delicious. What is Darrell's secret for the gravy? And what prize did it win?

Oh poor Talluah, abandoned, unloved, unwanted - my heart bleeds for her, all alone amongst strangers. She always reminds me of an one of the Wallace and Gromit films. JantheFan x

Oh no, there is only one course of action left, Tallulah must be adopted first thing in the morning and brought back to enrich your lives with her stories of adventures past….and adventures yet to come!
