Operation Tallulah

Oh my goodness, WHAT a morning .......

..... Darrell and Nigel had a long, tense wait as they got up to The Vale way before they had even opened .......

....... then once inside, there was, as far as they could see, no sign of "Tallulah", until Nigel softly called "Hellooooooooo!.

There followed a bit of a flurry and the waggling of legs and then there she was, Tallulah, pulling herself free from the tangle of toys around her, huge tears welling as soon as she saw Nigel again, saying that after their eyes had met fleetingly the day before, she'd had such a spooky sort of feeling, that somehow, he would come back for her. I am told that the emotion was rife, but that had to be put on hold until they had secured Tallulah's safe passage from the shop, after paying the £2.50 price for her freedom!

Then, it was time to finally catch their breath and for tearful introductions, quickly finding out that Tallulah was in fact Alice or Ali, and no, she wasn't related to or even knew a Tallulah in Wolverhampton!

Within minutes, Darrell said, they seemed very comfortable in each others company, with Nigel certain that this was friendship that was meant to last forever. Ali, in turn, was more than happy to be able to stay with Kata for the next little while, to give us time to adjust to one another, overjoyed that Kata had already told us that she'd help Ali find a few new clothes and provide all those lovely, smelly, lady type things, that we, as gentleman, were complete strangers to ....... until now!

Then, when everyone's nerves had finally settled, it was time for Ali to take one last look at her old life ........

....... and boldly walk towards the new, arm in arm with Darrell and Nigel, who were already totally enamoured by their new friend and neighbour ...... the beautiful and fragrant Alice.

What a relief! Or is it two relieves?

Firstly, that she was still there.
And secondly, that she ISN'T the Tallulah from Wolverhampton. That would have been just too much for young Nigel.

Well done Kata for giving Alice a home!

[They] "secured Tallulah's safe passage from the shop, after paying the £2.50 price for her freedom!"

Hang on - was Alice kidnapped and held for ransom by the shop? Call the police!!
