Times, They Move On ........

Sadly, it seems that the lovely gentleman who lived in the horsebox on the road leading to our estate has finally gone, he did manage to hang on for quite a long time …….

…… after telling Darrell, last year, he’d been told to move on, as it was seen that he might attract “ne’er do wells”.

However, for all of us, Nigel in particular, his presence was a a reassuring comfort and potential refuge, especially on the dark, winter, school run returns!

There’s another van there now, but it’s completely unrelated, we think it belongs to someone in the houses a little further down the road, I wonder if they’ll be told to move on?

The road now seems a long, lonely stretch, day or night as we’d got sooooooo used to it being being there.

It did no harm and to be honest, sometimes we need people who have a  different (romantic) way of life to add a certain frisson of excitement to our normal hum drum lives!

Oh well, such is life ………

What a shame. I hope he finds somewhere nice, where no-one bothers him - especially any undesirables.

Oh no-that’s quite sad. Let’s hope he’s safe & somewhere warm + dry.

That is a shame - in life we are all different and differences should be celebrated, not feared. Hope he finds a comfortable place to be. JantheFan x

We have a chap in our village. He actually owns the patch of land but everytime he parks his Gypsy caravan on there he gets moved off. Hugs Norm and Sammy.
