Houston, we appear to have a bit of an untimely seasonal problem where it seems that whoever put together this years 2024 calendar may not have been giving it their full attention, because in our robust Pancake Day and Valentine's Day organisation, we've spotted a mahoooosive faux pas.
Tomorrow, you'll agree, is Pancake Day and let's just say Darrell's batter has already been prepared and is currently "resting" until Darrell decides the right time for the fat to hit the pan on the big day. However, Pancake Day also heralds the beginning of Lent, so naturally we've also been giving much thought as to what to give up during this time, chocolate, always being the most obvious, as something we tend to consume almost daily and therefore would be the greatest sacrifice .........
BUT, this year, Valentines Day falls this Wednesday, when we really should be into Lent, except that Darrell's already got heart shaped, chocolate covered ice creams on the menu, plus a few heart shaped, chocolate delights to share during our evenings televisual viewing to celebrate the most romantic day of the year. It's almost too much of a quandary to get our heads around, surely there should be a good week between the aforesaid Valentines and Pancake Day? Questions must surely need to be asked in Parliament!
So, after much debate, to be honest, very little heated, we've decided that this Lent, regretfully, we're forced to give up, giving up chocolate (I think we may have done it before). We'll certainly try to cut down, but with this seasonal predicament upon us and Easter on the way, let's face it, there is a whole plethora of chocolate comestibles in the shops that will need to be reviewed by us ........ for you, over the next few weeks, what else could we do?

Far better than something else hitting the fan.
Just eat chocolate, after all it's the answer to everything. JantheFan x
