Happy Valentines Day 2024

A very Happy Valentines Day to you all, the most romantic day of the year ...... or, if like us, you have don't actually have a significant love interest, it's a day to tell everyone you really care about that you love them. Let's just say it's been emotional at The Towers this morning, as we expressed our love for one another with a torrid gay abandon, as is our want, not wishing to be found wanting in the love department!

And, what better act of love towards his fellow men, on such a day, than the little fella "dun gud" running amok in the Valentine aisles of Lidl!

Darrell had given him an unlimited budget and carte blanche to make as many frivolous purchases as his little heart desired to make it a day to remember and a perfect excuse to give himself a break away from his usual kitchen duties.

It goes without saying that Nigel did not hold back, we've got heart shaped pizza, chicken nuggets and potato shapes ........

....... not to mention heart shaped cheese melts,  pink (beetroot) and plain Gnocchi hearts .........

....... plus a box of assorted heart shaped ice-creams for dessert! To be honest, there is far too much for just our celebratory lunch and then evening meal, so we've decided to consume it all slowly during the rest of February, so that we can savour all the individual delights and even, perhaps, get in a festive review or two ........

..... including the heart shaped doughnuts, also popped into Nigel's trolley, that I almost forgot to mention! What am I like?

Anyway, after all that comestible excitement, may we wish you, once again  ........

A Very Very Happy Valentines Day!
