Ghost Walks, Live Oysters, Slippery Ramparts and A Boat For Sale.

Yesterday, Alice and Nigel decided to have a day out in Conwy .......

...... it was, they said, very atmospheric and tres romantic, shrouded in a veil of wintery seaside mist.

The shops were all very cute, with one or two of their beloved charity shops, but on this occassion no considered purchases were made.

The castle looked very enticing, seeped in wonderful medieval history, however, they decided to admire and ooooo and ahhhh from a safe distance ........

........ as really, the ever fragrant Alice's shoes, though very pretty and matching of her outfit and handbag weren't all that practical for the climbing of slippery steps and ramparts like a giddy Welsh goat .......

...... so they contented themselves to walking around the town walls and the beach area which was still very lovely.

They also partook in a cheeky crab buttie, but preferred to remain very much strangers to a real life, live oyster between two slices of bread or not!

Nigel was also very taken by the thought of a ghost tour, however again it was another case of being in the right place at the wrong time, but should they return, you never know........

Yes, it was all rather wonderful ........

...... ending with Nigel pensively wondering how much a fishing boat, if he was of the mind, was likely to set him back, heaven help us!

A wonderful place, with a castle, too.

"...like a giddy Welsh goat."

Giddy aunts, and giddy goats. I can't think of anything else that is giddy, other than Nigel, at the end of a roller coaster ride at the funfair - if it were open, that is.

JtF. I remember when the boat comes in, especially the song, that you referenced. James Bolam was the nephew of my next-door neighbour.
