Last Breaths Of Sea Air For This Year At Least ........

All good things must to come to an end, so Nigel and Alice decided to spend the last of their final ebbing afternoon in Poole, embracing a final dose of the bracing sea air, before heading back to their caravan to pack to come home.

It was emotional ........

The break had been as much a surprise to Nigel as it had been for Alice ......

..... but they'd embraced every single moment together, with Nigel showing Alice a few favourite haunts (but not of a late, great Derek Acorah, RIP ghosty type nature) ......

...... as well as exploring a few new places, including the odd, cheeky charity shop or two ....

...... where Nigel found himself a new toaster for just £3, reasoning that with the winter and its early, dark nights being in the ascendance, we'd almost certainly be eating a lot more toast, as it is our constant, go to comfort food, so it's always good to have a spare. What on earth is he like?

Nigel had also spotted that the wrestling scene appeared to be just as rampant in the Bournemouth/Poole area, as it is back home in Evesham ......

..... with him being absolutely positive that he even recognised a couple of familiar faces from our local posters.

It had been a truly wonderful time, with so many memories made
 .........

...... which hopefully they would be able to do all over again, sometime in the new year, especially as Alice now has a new, long felt want, to wit, the possibility of renting a very romantic looking beach hut next time, for just a day or two, bless her. Well, you never know!

Yet another wonderful trip! Plus a toaster, to boot.

Oh a wonderful trip and yes I can recommend hiring a beach hut next time - I've done it once and it's rather marvellous to have for the time you are there. The toaster - I'm with young Nige on that - toast, butter and jam - the food of the Gods! JantheFan x

Ah you definitely need to experience a day with a beach hut. They are very very bijou and expensive here in St Anne’s but I shared the cost with two of my arty friends and we had a wonderful day drinking tea and painting while we chatted. It was a very wet and wild day so we nipped our for fish and chips and sat inside our cosy hut with the heater on and felt life couldn’t really get much better!
