Home Sweet Home

Conwy, Nigel and Alice have told me, has had a very profound effect on them, because, whilst wandering it's many pleasures, they said that they found their perfect house.......

...... which also happened to be the smallest house in Great Britain!

It was the house Alice had always dreamed of, quaint, small enough so's not to be overwhelmed by housework and her beloved sea within yards of the front door, it was I believe, emotional, as soon as Alice laid her eyes upon it.

She was desperate to have a look inside...... already metalogically moving in her furniture ..........

.... but sadly, like so many things at this time of year, it wasn't open to visitors.

Nigel was very taken too, he had so many questions that he would have liked to have asked it's current residents, like where do you dry the washing on washing day?

It was almost too romantic for words, a tiny Alice and Nigel sized house, slap bang in the middle of a world heritage site, with uninterrupted vistas of the sea and protected and sheltered by the historic, town walls.

Nigel says that Alice was rather wistful and seemingly a little lost in her thoughts for the rest of their visit ......

..... however, a full and robust cake box comprising of two custard slices, two chocolate éclairs, two mahoooosive choux rings, and two mini Victoria sponges plus a couple or three Welsh cakes .........

......... to share when they got back at the caravan helped slowly woo his beloved Alice back to her normal, effervescent self ........ happy, if very thoughtful days!

That certainly is one small house. Maybe, it isn't even two up, two down. Is it one up, one down? Or, perhaps, half up, half down?

Goodness-you’ve taken me back to my childhood, showing the smallest house. I visited Conway as a child and have great memories of it so thank you.

I've heard about that house, seen it on tele - but to see it in real life now that's a treat......a bit like those delicious cakes - sort of. JantheFan x
