Eric And Alice Get In Some 2p Practice!

It goes without saying that while embracing all the pleasures that a Devonshire pier can offer......

...... it would have been rude for Eric (formally known as Nigel) and the ever fragrant Alice not to avail themselves of a lucky plastic pot full of 2p's and hit the arcade .........

........ to get in as much slot and drop practice as they can ........

...... ready for when we return later in the summer with our beloved nephew and niece.  

Eric had to admit that after a long, slotless winter he was a little on the rusty side as far as dispensing his 2p's in a game of chance was concerned .....

......... where his 2p's seemed to disappear in the blink of an eye ......

......... Alice appeared to still be at the very top of her game, making her pot of 2p's go on forever, as coin after coin tipped over the edge with a very satisfying clatter into the tray below ....... to be shared with the luckless Eric and put back in the machines again, until they were finally all gone.  

It's funny how no one ever seems to leave an arcade with a pocket bulging with 2ps isn't it?

However, they weren't leaving empty handed on this occassion as Alice, it seems, is also a whizz at accumulating the odd ticket or two and what do tickets mean? 

Prizes of course.  However instead of these being exchanged there and then, Eric neatly folded them up and they were popped safely into a plastic bag .......

 ...... to get a head start for the summer for Iris and Bertie when a long weekends worth of tickets is divided in two and the exchanging of said prizes is much pondered over .......... what are we all like?
