Today, Darrell and I decided to veer from our usual confectionary comfort zone to sample the delights of a Bobby's Giant Twisted Dazzler, a gift from the little fella .....
Well, it was certainly long, but other than that, as almost complete strangers to a fondant filled cable, we'll admit to being a little reticent in it's sampleage.
Now, rather than simply taking one end each and nibbling along until we met in the middle, Darrell decided it might be more polite to cut said Dazzler up into bite sized pieces and I have to say I agreed.
To be honest, coated in fizzy sugar, the Dazzler looked like one hell of a diabetic maelstrom, but we, in the interests of confectionary research and possible unexpected pleasure persevered.
So, how did it go down? Well, it was ..... interesting, the fizzy sugar gave the Dazzler an interesting, extra textural dimension, the flavour was indeed fruity, but what fruit exactly, we didn't have a clue, Darrell thought they probably just threw in a bit of everything that they had on the product line to make things interesting! As for the fondant, to be honest that was hard to pick out among everything else, so we didn't really count it in.
We did however save the rest for a very delighted Eric, explaining that it wasn't fair that we should have all the erm ..... pleasure!
It goes without saying that he absolutely loved the cut up, bite sized pieces and as a result was bouncing around for hours afterwards. However scoring our reaction to said Dazzler, on our world famous Richter Score of Noms would have been a tad too diverse to calculate properly ........
..... but for Eric alone, he awarded the remains of our Dazzler 99.999999 recurring out of 100, just for the sheer umpphhh it gave him! What on earth is he like?
