....... a box of three carpet tile samples, not even big enough to furnish the smallest of dolls houses, for the princely sum of £1?

It goes without saying that on this occasion, there were no considered purchases even mildly contemplated ......

....... said box was left on the shelf, with Eric left scratching his little bewildered head, musing that the next time he was in the shop he might just check to see if it was still there or gone, which would offer up even more questions!  What is he like?
