Poor Darrell, he spotted something that has been a very long felt want of his for as long as I can remember .......
..... to wit he most beautiful church pew he had ever seen, it even had the section across the back for hymn books etc. for the princely sum of £150 which he knew was the bargain of the century.
But alas, no matter how many times he measured it and then juggled in his mind where he could put it in our already burgeoning bijoux flat, it was clear that would never fit in a month of Sundays (or Saturdays for that matter). Some things, he sighed sadly, are just meant to be, no matter how much you have yearned for them.

"Pew, Pew, Barney, McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grubb."
What a lovely item although I’m not it would fit in many homes-physically or aesthetically.
Mr D-I was mentally reciting all the names as it’s from my childhood. I’m hurtling towards 60!

Michele - I hurtled past sixty, just over three years ago. :)
"Pugh, Pugh"..... :)
I used to think that the role call was for seven firefighters, but Barney McGrew is one person.
Happy memories Mr D. Pews remind me too much of boring church services when I was a young child. Hard seats and all that.....apologies to any regular church goers - rarely are these used in churches these days, thank goodness. JantheFan x
