The ever fragrant one has decided that, at heart, she is very much an autumn type of a person  .......

...... and young Eric says "Ditto" for him too.

This year. it has to be said that the season has been particularly glorious up here at The Towers .........

...... the leaves have been gently raining down to form a golden carpet on our communal  back lawn ......

..... and well, who can't resist playfully and carefreely kicking up the leaves like children, with all the wonderful rustley sounds and evocative, autumny smells that fill the air ........ and don't get them started on all the beautiful, golden twilights we've been experiencing.

Goodness only knows how long they've spent trying to catch a falling leaf, in the hope of it bringing them good luck. It sounds such a simple thing to do, but has so far proven to be almost impossible ...... as and when they do, naturally you'll be the first to know!

It's a time, they both agreed, that for some reason feels very comforting, it's not cold or stark, it's sort of mellow, before the onslaught of winter, oh and did I mention them also saying that it's almost too impossibly romantic for words? What are they both on, if not the pure joy of life and simply just being "present" !!!!!!!!  Happy days.

The autumn trees are certainly spectacular, but I'm a bit of a spring man, myself - new growth and new life.
