An Unusual Pleasure In Teignmouth

Eric (formally known as Nigel) and the ever fragrant Alice said they absolutely loved Teignmouth .......

....... with it's lovely beach for quiet, companionable silences, embracing the sea air  and partaking in a cheeky spot of beachcombing ........

...... and one or two choice emporiums like "Fork Handles", which made Eric chuckle!......

However, it wasn't a place where they would have expected to "go" to church ......

...... but when there's a beautiful gothic (?) one right on the seafront ......

...... beckoning to them to come inside .......

....... well, it would be rude not to ........

...........especially as we all do love a good church ......

...... and from what I understand, this one did not disappoint!

It goes without saying that Nigel lit a candle for all of us to remember all those who are no longer with us share our holidays now near and far .........

It was, according to Alice ........

........ emotional.

It also got me wondering about what church(s) Darrell and will ourselves be lured to visit when we are viva espania-ing later on in the year.

They left in a tranquil yet buoyant frame of mind ........ but with a mystery ......

Where was the marmalade, as they would have almost certainly bought some home for us and more importantly where was the marmalade safe (the bottom one) to potentially put the money in, as Eric and Alice looked everywhere for it, even in the direction of the arrow, just out of curiosity really ......... and why was there a bell to illustrate said instruction rather than the more obvious jar of marmalade?  I guess, even in church, there are some things we'll never know!

It looks a lovely church - shame someone got the marmalade before you did. JantheFan x
