Festivities and joyous greetings ....... Eric and the ever fragrant one may not yet be with us for the start of our very most favourite month, neigh time of the year, but that isn't stopping Darrell and I from donning our traditional gay apparel and getting the season moving, well it would be rude not too wouldn't it.
Darrell admits to being just the tiny weeniest bit jealous of "dynamic duo" because they'll be there in the US, he reckons, to savour the very beginning of real life, American type preparations for "The Holidays" as they like to call it, which means they'll also be able to get in some unique Christmas shopping, the likes he can only dream of.
Darrell says he doesn't know about Eric, but if he was there, he'd unequivocally go wild in the aisles.
Let's just say he's been watching a few of our favourite the Dollar Tree and Dollar General shopping channels (i.e The Queen, we love her) and he's been sending "if you see ......" type texts to Eric and Alice noting a few of the decorative and comestible items that have caught his eye and asking if they could pick up one, two, three or even a dozen of something for him, if there's room in their suitcase, what is he like?
I feel Christmas this year might take on quite a different flavour with potentially festive Peeps, Twinkies and Reeses on the menu!!!! Darrell might burst, so goodness only knows what it's like in Dunedin!
On a more calmer and dignified note, our beloved Number One Fan, Jan the Fan had sent us us a mysterious envelope with strict instructions not to open it until 1st December ........ that's today today, woo hoo hoo!
Inside was a Christmas Countdown scratch card with the chance to win a million pounds if we're vey, very lucky!
Needless to say, number one on said card was duly scratched to an inch of it's life, on this occasion no matching pictures or sums of money were to be found, that was perhaps hoping for a little too much ........
...... however with twenty four more days to go and dreams to be had on each one as to how any win could be made use of ..........
......... NEVER EVER say NEVER .............!!!!!
