Ever since Eric and Alice have been in the US of A, Alice has said that it has it's very own distinct aroma (just like Greece). She noticed it from almost the very second they landed. It's quite a sweet smell, with very subtle cinnamon and vanilla undertones, but there's something else that she just cannot place (perhaps not as pleasant????) and it's driving her mad.
However, during an absolutely no negotiations trip to Bath and Body Works she thinks she may have found something very close, if not quite ..........
...... in the guise of Cookie Butter Truffle from their Christmas range of products with notes of cookie butter, whipped cream and vanilla extract .....
It's not 100% there, something is still missing that she can't quite discern, but it's as close as Alice thinks she'll ever get.
...... it was all just a pungent haze of whiff and mist as far as he was concerned and as for the sound of so many excited ladies doing all said whiffing and wafting etc., well, he claimed, they almost managed to even overwhelm the piped Christmas music at one point, such was their unfettered joy at being surround by so much perfume, in so many liquid forms. He didn't understand it, but for Alice, he'd endure anything.
Needless to say a very ample supply of much considered purchases were duly rung up at the till, with Alice beaming with radiance and happiness, in the knowledge that her reputation for fragrance would continue to go before her ........

I'm with Eric, on this. Given the choice between some fragrance, and a Philly cheesesteak, give me the sarnie, every time - not that I've ever had a cheesesteak, Philly or otherwise.
Philadelphia is the city of "brotherly love" in Greek. Here endeth today's lesson.
