Darrell Does His Civic Duties ..... Again

For the past few weeks now Darrell has noticed that there's a car down the road that doesn't seem to have moved in all that time, in fact, it had grass growing around it and it seemed to be turning a bit green in places?

So, he decided that if it was still there in another week, he'd do his civic duty and report it as potentially abandoned.

Needless to say, after said week, the car was still firmly in situ. and had obviously not moved a single inch .........

...... so Darrell got on our laptop when he got home and reported it, thinking that would be the last he'd hear about it, as it would soon be gone, just like the sofa and tools of a few months back. How wrong he was, as he entered into quite a correspondence with "Brian", the gentleman now in charge of the case ......

......... as it seems that although the car was found not to be insured or MOT'd, because it was left on private land, there was little the powers that be could do as they don't know who owns the land and as it hadn't been reported by these unknown landowners there was nothing they could do until this mystery was unravelled and so there it must remain!

Darrell, in his last email, has had a little bet with "Brian" that it'll still be there at Christmas and perhaps it should be covered in fairy lights to help jog someone's memory as to how it may have got there!

Questions really need to be asked in Parliament! As ever, when we find out more or when it is finally taken away, you will be the first to know!

Curiouser and curiouser. You appear to have met a bit of an impasse. What is to be done? It seems like a Catch-22 situation.
