Nigel Introduces Alice to A Caravan Type Holiday

Yet another short  for Nigel ....... this time in sunny Burnham (sadly not Southport this time Michelle), introducing Alice to the joys of a caravan/holiday park type  break along with his beloved niece and nephew,  something, up to now, Alice has been a total stranger to..... ooooooh la la!

As soon as they arrived they were welcomed by a large gaggle of ducks, who were fortunately polite enough to stay at the bottom of the steps, obviously after a few scraps ........

.......which Alice said was all toooooooo rurally romantic for words, but much as she and Nigel would have loved to have given said gaggle a little treat ........

...... but they didn't want to disobey the "do not feed the ducks" sign they had seen for risk of getting ejected from the site before their holiday had even begun.........

...... though Nigel strongly suspects Alice did throw a tiny crumb or two to them when she though he wasn't looking!

To distract Alice a little Nigel decided to point out the various pieces of caravan art displayed on the walls in most of the rooms in their temporary abode, something Darrell always notes on all our holidays, be it caravan or hotel.

However, without wanting to be rude, Alice admired them politely, but said they weren't really her sort of thing and would perhaps prefer something more of a evocative and traditional seasidey type nature on her walls.

When they all had unpacked, bagsed their beds and settled Nigel couldn't help but admire the very lovely array of fragrant bottles Alice had laid out in the shower room, a real contrast to our usual strong, potent and manly Lynx products.

...... and wondered if she would mind if he availed himself (with her permission of course) of the smallest squidge of one or two, as he quite liked the thought of a little coastal cypress, sea fennel and African whitewood in his shower.

I can feel it in my water that this is going to be a very interesting few days or so .........

Yet another holiday, for Miss Iris and Master Bertie, with even more memories.

As it happens, Michelle, I met a man from Southport, last week, on the Mexico City Metro. They announced that the train was terminating a few stops early, and that a bus was laid on.

As I got off, someone looked very foreign, and very confused. I did my good deed of the day and went to help him out of the Metro and to the bus stop.

I’m sure Nigel is going to have a lovely few days away with Alice, I’m just hoping that Southport is on their list for next year.

Oh caravan holidays are just the best! Enjoy it all - even the exotic bits young Nige & well done Mr D for supporting a tourist in a hot spot so to speak (in more than one way) - and from Southport too - you couldn't write this stuff, unless you are a certain person whose name begins with an H.
