Well, we're not exactly sure how on earth we all missed it, as it must have made quite a racket .........
....... but the trees on "our" bank, that leads down to the river, have had a right old pollarding .........
Now, we're not sure what exactly bought on this sudden call to action, not that it didn't need doing .....
......... with goodness knows how many photos, from all angles taken, only for him to be constantly rebuffed, being told it was all part of the companies re-wilding scheme or nothing could be done in the bird nesting season.
When the brambles and nettles encroached at least four to five feet over the fence into the garden, placards were being sourced and questions were dangerously close to being asked in Parliament ..........
...... an yet, now, out of the blue and without warning, it seems that the powers that be have gone "wild" themselves, with whatever tools they have, to return the light and view back to the flats at the far end of the garden. This after Darrell was told, somewhat snottily, in his opinion, "Regarding your concern about right to light, there is no statutory or common law right to light in the UK and we will not carry out pruning or fell a tree to reduce shading or improve natural light into a property or garden"

Well done, Darrell!
I'm taking it as a great victory for the little man, er, little monkey.
