Oh my goodness me, heavens to Betsy, what can I say? I think the ever fragrant Alice made the ultimate, Mr D Mexican tribute find of the century yesterday in Vale Wildlife, our charity shop of choice in Evesham .........
...... to wit, a rare, collectable Tracy Flickinger (with many thanks to Google Lens) Mexican condiment set, possibly dating from the 80s/90s.
It was an emotional find ...... Mr D being our beloved follower and serial commentor in far away, sultry, real life, actual Mexico in person with Lady Mrs D!
No considered purchase was made however, because although our taste chez Towers is can be on the eclectic side, Alice knew that the set just wasn't us, adding that it was all a little on the grubby side and the plastic taps faded, though there were no chips, cracks or fading to the paintwork.
As such, Alice didn't see how much the shop was asking for the set or each piece individually, however, after a some research Darrell discovered that the same set is currently up for sale on Ebay for £47 ......... let's just Alice definitely has "an eye" for the unusual and collectable, but she also has a penchant for the refined and elegant, what can I say?
