Yesterday, was one of those days when the ever fragrant Alice thanked heavens to Betsy that Eric hadn't been with her when she nipped up town.
Much as she adores his company, she stumbled upon something that would have caused no end of "trouble" and anguish ......
.....in the guise of child's miniature, battery powered Jaguar, put out, she guessed, for the binmen to collect.
It was quite spectacular and well, it would have been rude not to see how it "fit", judging from the pictures, to wit, like a glove and the manor born for Alice .......
...... but it was quite clear, right from the start, that the car had a serious wheel issue and, perhaps, other not so obvious ones too.
Had Eric been with her, can you imagine? He would have moved heaven and earth after instantly setting his heart on it, to bring it home and then searched high and low for "someone" to look at it for him and bring it back to its former glory, before asking Kata our lovely friend across the hall way, if we could have our car park space back, with us being an upwardly mobile family!
It was such a shame, perhaps it could have been mended, but such an undertaking was not for The Towers. We are just now praying that it's well and truly gone before Eric goes for a toddle up town himself. Mum's definitely the word for today, even for Arnold!
