Darrell Shares The Delights of Southport with Alice Curtesy Of Pharmacy Michelle.

Our very much loved follower, Pharmacy Michelle, sent us a whole plethora of Southport's finest freebie magazines for us to share with  Alice.......

...... assuming rightly that Alice was a total stranger to all it's pleasures! Let's just say she was rapt Michelle!

First to catch her eye was delights of The Fryery (not to be mistaken for The Priory), with its wonderful looking fish and chips and homemade daily specials.

Alice, it has to be said, keeps a very trim figure, but her downfall (as we have found out) is a good old fish and chip supper, with a large cod, medium chips, large mushy peas and small curry sauce, with the very occasional battered sausage on top!

Yes, Alice can certainly pack it away, when the mood takes her!

And what else does Alice appreciate, but a good old charity shop mooch, which we know from past visits, Southport has in spades, so her appetite was further whetted!

 As for it's solicitors .......

...... well, they couldn't help wondering with a line up of professionals like that (???) what the "so much more ......" on offer actually was! What a naughty pair!

Well, It's been a while since we've been to Southport ourselves, to stroll along the length of its pier (although we think it has been closed for a while now due to health and safety reasons) ........

..... or succumbed to one of Antonio's wonderful ice creams ........

..... so perhaps when the New Year comes and Darrell gets our 2025 calendar out to start booking, who knows? I don't think any of us would be adverse to showing the sights and sharing in all Southport's hidden and not so hidden treasures with the ever fragrant Alice ......

........ who knows perhaps she's even a secret demon on the Penny Falls machines.  Happy days ........ perhaps?

I'm with Alice - large fish and chips with mushy peas, with a pot of tea, please. Along with a round of bread and butter, with which to make chip butties. Thank you very much.

Yet again, you have got my mouth watering. :)

It would be lovely to think that you might visit Southport to show Alice the delights of the town. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed 🤞.

Oh possible further visits - sounds exciting! I did once have a little stopover at Southport, I couldn't see the sea because of the beach! JantheFan x
