SPOILER ALERT FROM MUM
Sadly, Nigel hasn't been found, I think I've done as much as I can, including contacting the council just in case a road sweeper had found him and taken him back to the depot. The people of Southport via various Facebook pages have been absolutely wonderful too, going out and looking for him. I've been very touched.
So where do we go from here? Well, I do have a replacement monkey, (I've had him for ages as a possible new best friend for Nigel sometime). He will make his first appearance on Good Friday when "Nigel" will announce, over his hot cross bun, that he has an announcement to make, to wit, he has secretly changed his name by deed poll to Eric, for reasons best known to himself (I've still got to work that out) and with the change of name, the coming of spring and thought of Easter eggs in a few days time he will take on a new, rejuvenated glow, noticed by all........
I know you know how upset I am to have lost Nigel, he'll never ever be forgotten, but I knew if I continued the blog, I just couldn't face using his name, daft I know but I hope it all makes some sort of sense (????).
.... so now onwards and upwards .........and on with today's post
How on earth did it get to be 5th March already?
Not that we aren't ready and champing at the bit to put a few more ticks on our bucket list calendar of 2025.
March, it appears, seems to be chock full of naturist activity, a bit of thrifting and the pursuit of seasonal artistic-ness, some of an Easter type nature, which seems a bit too far away at the moment, even if the shops have been full of Easter eggs since Boxing Day.
Alice quite fancies looking for something new and pastel to wear in the bountiful charity shops of Evesham and perhaps even finding an Easter basket or two to titivate and put away for the big day. Nigel is very keen on finding a four leaf clover. I plan to fill up the bird feeders in the garden for a spot of bird spotting ........ and Darrell ....... well, I'll keep you on tenterhooks until tomorrow, although I don't think you'll be at all surprised by his choice!!!

I hope everything works out, with Nigel and Eric.

Naturist activities? What on earth do you mean??!! Things like nude picnics, naked sports, and shopping in the buff? Oh, no! Shurely shome mishtake.
I completely understand about Nigel, am looking forward to seeing Eric. I’m hoping you didn’t shoe Nigel the March bucket list and he didn’t misinterpret the naturist activities. I have a vision of him photobombing Photos in Southport as it has been quite sunny here. I will always keep looking for him. 🥰

Oh it's a keen wind up North atm - so def no Naturist actvities going on here atm.
However bird-watching a plenty going on as always - the blue tits are keeping an eye on their bird box - they don't want any other birds taking up residence whilst they wait patiently until the 'time is right' for them to start building their nest. JantheFan x
