When you find banana flavoured Jammie Dodgers on your local Iceland's shelves, well, it would be rude not to make a considered purchase, even if you a slightly dubious about the "fruity jam".
On opening, said biscuits looked a little pale and on the insipid side, with a slightly greenish, off putting jam colourwise (without us actually saying somewhat sn** coloured).
We have always loved the unique, short, soft but crumbly texture and flavour of a Jammie Dodger biscuit, so full marks there ........
..... but the chewy banana flavoured jam, was, for us, far too subtle, there was a bit of a tang somewhere, but it didn't really say banana in capital letters, if you know what we mean, whereas you generally find with most banana flavoured comestibles there is no holding back on the banana flavour, artificial or not.
So, what with the ambiguous jam colour, we were left disappointed and flavourwise, sadly wanting ........

Oh, dear. Never mind. They were worth a try. Plus, your non-nomtastic (?) review, may save other "Monkey News" fans a disappointing purchase.
Thanks for the review, won’t be purchasing the banana flavoured biscuits.

Oh shame - but Jammie Dodgers original are just one of the best biscuits so any other flavour would have to be VERY tasty to outdo the best! JantheFan x
Jammie Dodgers made me think of one of my favourite UK biscuits - McVitie's Hobnobs. The plain version - not the chocolate ones, but the originals.
All together now: I want McVitie's Hobnobs, and I want them ¡¡¡NOW!!!
