With our beloved niece and nephew in the foreign climes of la belle France last year, Halloween seems to have been a very long time in the coming and the making this year .......
...... but let's just say, we are more than ready to embrace for our traditional, full bodied, annual (or bi-annual in this case) sleepover.
Darrell has dusted off his prized, black, be-jazzled candelabra and decorated The Towers to a subtle inch of it's life .......
..... and naturally we're all dressed up for the season, champing at the bit to get this party started .......
....... with enough treats to sink the proverbial mysterious Marie Celeste, with crackers to pull, midnight walks to ramble, followed by a viewing of Ghostbusters to complete our evening, accompanied by a bucket of salty popcorn and some weird and wonderful cocktails mixed by young master Bertie, using all the syrups from his newly replenished cocktail bar. It's going to be emotional, very, very, emotional.
We're particularly looking forward to the ever fragrant one, never one to hide her light under any sort of bushel, who has promised to shuffle and lay out her wondrously special fortune telling cards ........
..... to do a one to one, upright, uptight and personal reading for each of us, BUT, I should stress, this is purely for entertainment type purposes you understand, as there is certainly no room for any occultist practices Chez Towers, no matter how spooky the season! We still have to keep ourselves safe.
There's also a hint of sadness to the evening, as we reach the very cusp of October's end, as Arnold, Eric's erstwhile ghost companion is, I'm pretty sure, probably going to bid a fond farewell in a puff of ethereal mist on the stroke of midnight. We're going to miss him soooooooooo much, but who knows, perhaps he'll join us again soon, I believe he has plans!!
Anyways up, may we wish you a very Happy Halloween, the spookiest night of the year, with all the mayhem it could bring! Happy Halloween!

A shame about, potentially, losing Arnold. Let's hope he returns very soon.
A belated Happy Halloween - your party sounded the best of parties, as always. Arnold is welcome back anytime! JantheFan x
