Tis The Season To Be Spooky .......

With October being the spookiest time of the year .......

..... to enter into the full spirit of the season, Darrell, the ever fragrant Alice and I decided to club together to adopt a ghost for Eric!  What are we like?

Needless to say, when we presented it to the little fella, it was emotional.

Said ghost comes with a small scroll containing a few details to help Eric through the adoption and help settle "our" new, little friend.

We discover the ghosts name is Arnold, he was born on 6th December 1830 and he was a Bird Boy, scaring birds from crops in the fields for farmers, so quite a rustic and romantic sort of profession with plenty of fresh air and exercise.  

Arnold likes the smell of misty autumn mornings and frosty spiders webs but doesn't like full on sunshine and any salt and garlic in his food!

Eric obviously is over the (full) moon with his new friend and has vouchsafed to keep Arnold close at and in hand ........

......... looking after him with all due diligence until, we believe, Arnold will return from whence he came, disappearing into the ether, on the stroke of midnight on 31st October, to wit Halloween.  Now thinking about it, I hope we've done the right thing, as there could possibly be tears if Eric gets too attached, oooooops!
