Keeping The Little Fella Occupied

After Nigel's sad news yesterday of the forthcoming closure of his regular, corner, charity shop haunt, we decided we needed to keep him busy ........

 ..... so Darrell charged him with finding another of our steadfast festive traditions .....

...... to wit the marzipan fruit, encouraging him to nip in to Lldl on his way back from the school run.

Let's just say that Lldl was not found wanting in the marzipan department, from  chocolate coated logs and bites, in Stollen (of all sizes) and all manner of other such delicacies.

However, Nigel knew on this visit it had to be the fruits, as they were always Andy's favourite and always a festive staple. The rest could always come later, if we so fancied.

Said fruits were quickly located and duly purchased ........

....... along with a box of Brandy Snaps for good measure, as Darrell's whipped cream infused with Baileys Irish Cream are always a yuletide triumph on Boxing Day!  I can almost feel my waistband grow a little tighter just thinking about them!
