It's Back ..... It's Back, Starbucks Eggnog Latte Is Back

While Nigel was out shopping with Alice in Worcester and wanting to rest up their feet for a little while, they decided to just go into the nearest coffee purveyors they could find, to wit Starbucks, only to find, on the board outside, that the legendary Starbucks eggnog latte was back!

Nigel thought Alice might pass out as she swooned, as said drink hadn't been available for a good few years now and it had always been her quaff of choice in the festive season whenever she was out and about and as such, had long mourned it's sad retirement.... and now, there it was, sat sitting right in front their eyes!

It goes with out saying they were in Starbucks faster than you could say "Mariah Carey", with Alice finding a table, while Nigel, true gentleman as ever, went to the counter to order this true pleasure in two Rio Grande sized mugs.

Let's just say, it did not disappoint, the eggnog was as smooth, rich, creamy and sweet as ever, with just the lightest dusting of nutmeg.  Alice, according to Nigel, was in seventh, eighth and possibly ninth heaven!

Believe me, Alice can nom like the rest of us, but Nigel said she was off the scale.  She really, really loves her eggnog. However, she had to make the most of it, because, sadly, Evesham doesn't have a Starbucks of it's own, so what better reason for Alice and Nigel to take as many jaunts together, for as long as possible, while it was still available!  What on earth are they both like?

It was such a significant moment in their friendship that Nigel peeled the receipt carefully off their mugs, to keep safe as a very wonderful Christmas memory, that he never wanted to forget.

And, as far as Alice was concerned? Well, she really didn't want a lot for Christmas, because, for her, Santa had already been, bless her fragrant little soul!

Eggnog latte sounds (almost) perfect.
Eggnog - yes.
Latte - yes.
Nutmeg - NOOOOO!

But, as Mr. Loaf sang "two out of three ain't bad."
Mariah Carey/Starbucks???

Coincidentally #1, I have a friend who lives in Worcester.
Coincidentally #2, Worcestershire sauce is popular here - you see it in many restaurants. They call it "Salsa Inglesa" (English sauce,) but it amuses me to get the Mexicans to try and pronounce the Worcestershire, from the bottle. (It doesn't take much, to keep me amused.)
