Sad New To Impart

We're only into the fourth day of December but unfortunately Nigel had some very sad news to impart from yesterdays school run ......

...... his beloved charity shop on the corner, at the end of "our road" is closing, to be metamorphosiside into a Turkish Barber and as such, everything has to go by the end of the year, if not before.

The shop is either the first or last call on our way in or out of town, depending on which direction we decide to circle town.  It's the shop we've always give our "best stuff" ......

..... and a few years back, the shop that would leave unsold items outside in a box for free, and so, the source of many an interesting "find", that Nigel would often gift.  One year, such "treasure" helped towards his pursuit of unusual festive gifts, which in turn made our Christmas, as things we didn't know we wanted, until we received them!

It's also the shop we bought our pencil, pop up, Christmas tree last year, that we are again using this year. it will now, no doubt, become the source of a great many memories in the coming years.

Poor Nigel, this is truly the end of an era, coming/going round our corner will never, ever be the same again for him ....... we need to cheer him up!

Very sad news. Poor Nigel. Every time he walks past, and sees the barber shop, he will think of the Daisychain Benevolent Fund.
